The #1 ranked in the nation Hostos Lady Caimans continues their winning ways as the Lady Caimans march towards the post season. Hostos current win streak is now at 12 straight by beating The BMCC Panthers at the swamp 72-43. The win gives Hostos 17-2 Overall record and improved their Home record to 8-0 & 5-0 in the CUNYAC standings.  
 
The visitors BMCC Lady Panthers who was up to the challenge of taking on the #1 ranked team in the nation in the early part of the contest. Battled with the home team and was displaying lots of energy as they went on some scoring runs, to keep the game within striking distance for The Panthers. The Lady Caimans led by (Fr.) Guard Regine Blankney who led all scorers with 19 points 6 assists & 5 steals all while starting for the Caimans. BMCC who would not go away had cut the Caimans lead a few times to single digits, when Regine Blankey went on a three point shooting barrage, connecting on all 5 three pointers in the contest in the first half. As the Caimans was up on the panthers 44-25 at half. 
 
The Panthers adjusted in the second half holding the Caimans to just 13 points in the 3rd period. The dynamic duo's Freshmen's Sky Patterson 18 points 12 Rebounds 4 steals & Kayla Wilson who had 12 points 15 boards with 9 of her (15 Rebounds) on the offense end provided the spark as well as stellar guard play from Sophomore Guards Ashley Smith who contributed 9 points and 5 assists and Nyasha Howard who ended with 4 points 8 rebounds, 6 assists & 5 Steals to help propelled Hostos to the home win.
