CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Hostos Community College standout
Daja White has capped off a phenomenal 2024-25 campaign by being named to the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball All-America First Team.
This prestigious recognition adds to an already decorated season for White, who was previously named NJCAA Region XV Player of the Year and CUNY Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
White is one of just three Region XV student-athletes to earn All-America honors this season, joining Kingsborough's Endya Greene (Second Team) and Nassau's Kirina Azemar (Honorable Mention).
She becomes the first Hostos women's basketball player to earn All-America status since Aiyana Hicks (Honorable Mention, 2023) and the first to be named to the First Team since
Moreina Moore in 2020.
White appeared in 27 games for the Caimans and finished among the national leaders in several key categories: third in assists (151), fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.400), fifth in made free throws (113), and fifth in steals (110).
Most importantly, she led Hostos to an outstanding 26-3 record, an unprecedented eighth straight CUNY Community College Women's Basketball Championship, and the program's first Region XV title since 2020—securing the No. 2 seed in the NJCAA Division III National Tournament.
