The Caimans have amassed an impressive 29-3 record and are riding a 25-game win streak that extends as far back as November 13th. "The coaches and student-athletes are truly committed to excellence on and off the court. I am thoroughly impressed with their tenacity, work ethics and camaraderie", says Athletic Director, Krishna Dass.

The Caimans are earning top conference and regional honors as well, with #23 Destini Green claiming the CUNYAC "Player of the Year" award, the Region XV "Player of the Year" award, and the Region XV Tournament "Most Valuable Player" award. #3 Cashmir Fulcher earned the CUNYAC "Rookie of the Year" and "Most Valuable Player" awards, as well as the Region XV "Second Team" award.  Additionally, #1 Corina Coles earned the Region XV "All Tournament Team" award, while #33 Pamela Suarez earned the CUNYAC "All Tournament Team" award.

Head Coach, DeVernie Winston is also accruing some hardware, earning CUNYAC and Region XV "Coach of the Year" honors. "I am grateful that my peers have recognized our efforts in building a solid team that could compete regionally and nationally. I share this award with my entire coaching staff who work tirelessly to recruit top-caliber student-athletes and to create opportunities for them to excel on and off the court", says Head Coach DeVernie Winston.

"We are excited about the opportunity to represent Hostos on the national stage and are appreciative of all the support we have received from our coaches, the athletic staff, family-members and campus personnel. I love my teammates; we are focused our goals and on winning a national title" says, Destini Green.

Mohawk Community will host the NJCAA National Tournament from Thursday, March 16th – Saturday, March 18th. The Caimans are slated to play against Roxbury Community College on Thursday, March 16th at 2pm. For updated results, please refer to the Hostos Athletics website at www.hostosathletics.com.
