th, the Caimans came up just short of a victory against the Queensborough Tigers falling 64-67. The teams traded baskets throughout the game, resulting in multiple lead changes. The Caimans had a few chances to tie the game with seconds remaining, but the Tigers were able to hold them off.
Corina Coles continues to lead the Caimans in scoring with a game-high 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals.
Courtney Coley made quite an impressive debut, scoring 16 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing out 2 assists, and rejecting 3 shots.
Due to foul issues,
Imani Bayne saw limited minutes and was slow to get her offense going. Nevertheless, she had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists.
Megan Patterson and
Kwana Brunson dominated the glass, pulling down double-digit rebounds, with 16 and 10 respectively.
The Caimans return to action on February 9
th at 6pm when they face off against the Nassau Lions. The men's team will play directly after as they face off against the Generals.
