Box Score The Caimans defeated the Rockland Hawks 88-80 in a double-header match-up on Tuesday, January 26^th at 8pm. The teams traded baskets for most of the first half until the Hawks went on a run, amassing a 10-point lead heading into the second half.
 
In the second half, the Caimans were able to go on a run of their own, eventually outscoring the Hawks by 18 points.  The Caimans switched offensive strategy, taking the ball to the hoop for easy conversions. Five Caimans had double-digit scoring, with three earning a double-double.
 
Dequawne Richards found his groove netting 24 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal. Jemal Smith racked up 12 points, 12 assists and 2 steals. Kameron Outlaw contributed 11 points, while Jahkeem Folks added 10 on a perfect 5-5 shooting from the field.
 
The player of the night was Jefferson Francois as he soared above his opponent and emphatically slammed the ball through the hoop. Jefferson played like a man possessed and willed his team to victory. Jefferson finished with 22 points, 19 rebounds and was lights out from the field, with an impressive 85% shooting percentage.
 
The Caimans are back in action on Thursday, January 28^th facing conference opponent LaGuardia Red Hawks. The women's game is at 6pm & the men's game is scheduled for an 8pm start time. Come watch us play!
