The Lady Caimans traveled to play the Rockland Community College Hawks in their season opener. The Caimans jumped out to an early lead and ended the quarter up 21-8. By half time the score was 41-14, and they continued to put the pressure on the Hawks. In the coaching debut of Coach Winston, he took the time to work on their plays and slowed up the ball in the second half. It seemed as though he was taking the blow out as a time to teach his players.
The Lady Caimans slowed the ball in the second half and ran through their offensive sets. With scoring from
Corina Coles and Imani Baynes whom contributed 19 and 18 respectively, the Caimans started the season the right path. The addition of the hard hitting
Megan Patterson proved to be a force in the paint. The now two sport athlete, ended with 10 points and 12 rebounds with 4 blocks.
