Box Score The Caimans came out strong against CUNYAC regular season standing leader the LaGuardia Red Hawks. Hostos held a lead for most of the first half before the Red Hawks evened the score at 35 points apiece. The teams traded baskets for most of the game, as the Caimans proved that they could be a championship contender.

Corina Coles led all scorers with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Imani Bayne finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Megan Patterson was one point shy of a double-double, finishing with 9 points, 14 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 blocks.

The game plan worked for three out of the four quarters as the Caimans dictated the tempo of the game. However, the Red Hawks' bench was deeper as the Caimans ran out of steam in the fourth quarter. The end score was not indicative of how well the Caimans played. With a 77-55 loss, the Caimans will look to bounce back against the BMCC Panthers tomorrow at 12pm in the SWAMP.
