Bronx, NY – Saturday marked the first Battle of the Bronx of the 2012-13 Basketball season in a doubleheader of the Caimans Men's and Women's basketball teams against the Broncos of Bronx Community College. It was a big day for the Lady Caimans as they got their third win in a row improving their record to 3-2.

Chanel Champion led the Caimans scoring 20 points, with Kristina Shcherban adding 19 points and Mecca Norfleet racking up 13. In the current win streak Shcherban has scored 49 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Mecca Norfleet has 42 points and 26 assists. “The girls are playing well together and seem to be in a groove; we are excited to head home for our home opener and hope to keep playing well.” Said interim coach Andre McCullough Saturday after the game.

The Caimans come home for the Women's home opener on Tuesday December 4^th where they hope to continue their win streak! Let's Go Caimans!!
