Long Island City, N.Y. - The Caimans Women's Basketball team placed six players in double figure scoring as they faced off against CUNYAC opponent LaGuardia Community College in a road contest. The Caimans did not waste any time as they started the game on a 19-7 run and never looked back winning the game by a final score of 91-19.

Starr Garcia who posted a team high of 24 points while also adding seven steals. Sophomore guard
Savannah Williams added 16 points and seven rebounds while fellow sophomore
Dimon Walker added a double-double with 14 points and a team high 11 assists to go along with seven steals. In the paint sophomore
Lanasia Drain posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds while
Aiyana Hicks pulled down 11 rebounds while adding seven blocks and eight assists. Off the bench freshman forward
Fatoumata Diaby added 10 points and seven rebounds while sophomore
Zaire Bailey notched her first career double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
As a team the Caimans shot 47.5% from the floor while holding LaGuardia to 15.4% from the floor.
Next up for the Caimans is a trip to New Jersey where they will take on RCSJ-Gloucster in a battle of two nationally ranked teams on Saturday, January 14 at 2pm.
