Garden City, N.Y. - The Hostos Women's Basketball team traveled to Nassau CC on Sunday afternoon to take on Region XV powerhouse and rival Nassau Community College. The #10 ranked Caimans captured the road win to improve to 11-3 overall and 5-2 in Region XV action.
Leading the way for the Caimans was freshman guard
Dimon Walker who posted a team high 20 points to go along with a team high 6 assists. Also helping the Caimans to a win was freshman guard
Savannah Williams who netted eight points while hauling down a team high 10 rebounds. Freshman Guard
Starr Garcia added nine points and five rebounds for the Caimans while sophomore forward
Ayanna Brown was a force inside with a eight point and eight rebound day.
Next up for the Caimans is a out of region matchup with #8 Community College of Rhode Island on Tuesday, February 8 at The Swamp. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm and will be live streamed on www.hostosathletics.com.
