Garden City, N.Y. - The Caimans men's basketball team traveled to Long Island to face Nassau Community College in a pivotal Region XV showdown on Sunday afternoon. The first half saw the Caimans in control for most of the half before the Lions went on a run to close the half and go into the locker room up five 36-31. The second half saw the Caimans come out and tie the score twice before Nassau took control of the game in the last eight minutes in rout to the win 79-67. With the loss the Caimans are now 14-9 overall and 10-4 in Region XV action. 

Freshman guard Marquise Paulin led the way for the Caimans with 14 points and a team high six rebounds. Also having big days for the Caimans were freshman guard Rashad Ramserran who knocked down four three pointers for a total of 12 points while freshman guard Josiah Chandler had a stellar afternoon with 11 points. 

Next up for the Caimans is a CUNYAC matchup against BMCC on Tuesday, February 8 at The Swamp. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00pm and the game will be live streamed on www.hostosathletics.com.
