Bronx, N.Y. - The #2 Women's Basketball team hosted Suffolk Community College on Thursday night in a Region XV matchup that saw four Caimans reach double figure scoring. The Caimans set the tone right from the beginning as they came out on a 24-8 run to start the game. Hostos would not let up and went into the locker room leading at the half 86-34. The second half would be all Hostos as well with the Caimans building their lead as their zone stifled the Sharks. The Caimans would go onto take the victory by a final score of 86-34. With the win the #2 Caimans are now 4-0 overall and are in first place in both CUNYAC and Region XV action. 

Leading the way for the Caimans was sophomore guard Starr Garcia who scored a game high 25 points on 11 of 18 shooting from the floor. Sophomore guard Savannah Williams also had a stellar night posting a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists while also adding seven steals. In the paint sophomore center Lanasia Drain posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds while adding three blocks. Drain's front court mate sophomore Aiyana Hicks also had a big night with 23 points and four blocks. Freshman point guard Felecia Felicien also added eight assist for the Caimans to go along with five rebounds and four points. 

As a team the Caimans forced 30 Suffolk turnovers while out rebounding the Sharks 37-34. On offense the Caimans shot 44.7% form the floor while knocking down 13 of 15 free throws for 86.7%. 

Next up for the Caimans is a Tuesday night matchup against the Red Hawks of LaGuardia Community College at The Swamp, tip-off is scheduled for 6pm.
