New York, N.Y. - Freshman forward
Savannah Williams led the Caimans to their first conference win of the year over BMCC notching her second career 20 point performance with a game high 24 points to go along with a new career high 7 steals. After a slow start and trailing early against the Panthers the Caimans used a 24-7 run in the second quarter to go into the locker room with a 38-14 lead. The Caimans came out of halftime on fire exploding for 37 third quarter points securing the win for Hostos for a 96-30 final score. With the win the #11 Caimans are now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in CUNYAC play.
The Caimans boasted five players in double figure scoring. Joining

Starr Garcia who posted a 22 point night. In the paint freshman forwards
Aiyana Hicks and
Adria Powell both had 11 point and 4 rebound nights. Leading the way off the bench for the Caimans was sophomore guard
Shania Lewis with a 10 point, 5 rebound and 3 steal performance.
As a team, the Caimans dominated the paint with 54 points inside while their press was also effective producing 29 Panther turnovers which created 39 points for the Caimans. The Caimans also outrebounded BMCC on the glass 29 to 24.
