New York, N.Y. - The Men's basketball team captured their fifth win of the season on Tuesday night after defeating a tough BMCC squad on the road. With the win the Men's Basketball team's overall record improves to 5-3 (3-0 CUNYAC/3-2 Region XV). The Caimans are now tied atop the CUNYAC standings with Queensborough Community College.
The Caimans were paced by a good all around effort placing four players in double figures. Leading the way was freshman guard
Onias Outlaw who posted a team high 13 points to go along with 5 steals and 3 rebounds. Also contributing for the Caimans was freshman guard Marquis Paulin adding 12 points and 5 rebounds. Off the bench for the Caimans freshman guard Rshad Ramserran had a big night from deep going 3 of 3 from the three point line on his way to an 11 point and 4 rebound night while freshman forward
Xavier Ryan also posted 10 points for the Caimans.
As a team Hostos totaled 15 steals and forced 20 BMCC turnovers leading to 23 points off the press. The Caimans bench also had a big say in the game posting a total of 46 points.
