Box Score -Bronx, NY
Your Caimans are back in action as they try to extend to a two game win streak after Saturday's game versus Dutchess. The Rockland Hawks came into the swamp hoping to put a stop to that. It was a game filled with five to eight point swings, with the opposing coaches calling time outs to settle their respective teams. It was a transitional game as the Caimans are getting use to playing without their sophomore setter
Tenaya Hawkins. Freshman
Gabriela Sanchez did a good job filling in contributing with 20 assists.
The match took 5 sets to declare a winner and the teams took turns winning sets, Rockland the first and third with the Caimans winning the second and fourth. With the play of
Ebony Williams dishing out 12 kills with only 3 errors the Caimans dominated the fourth set with a 25-13 win. The boisterous crowd could sense the tension as the fifth set began, with both teams searching for that knockout punch. Ultimately the Caimans succumbed to the Hawks in the last set 15-13 despite the play of sophomore
Marie McKenzie with 14 kills and 12 digs with a block.
Your Caimans will next be in action in a doubleheader this Saturday, October 3rd. Game 1 versus Queensborough CC at noon and game 2 versus Kingsborough CC at 1:15 at Kingsborough CC.
