    The Lady Caimans headed to Rockland CC on a mission to avenge their earlier loss to the Rockland CC Fighting Hawks just a little over a week ago. It was a back and forth match that went the full five sets. Each team alternating set wins, everything was laid out in the fifth and final set with the Caimans being victorious 15-11 and the match win. Sidasia Johnson once again leading the way with 13 kills 16 digs 2 blocks and an ace. The match also saw the return of setter Tenaya Hawkins from injury, whom contributed 10 assists and 4 kills. Alongside Gabriela Sanchez who tallied 12 of her own,this may be a dynamic duo to aid in more point production for the Caimans. 
    In the second game of the double header, the Caimans squared off against the Westchester CC Vikings. The Caimans were hoping to continue that momentum from the previous game and let it translate into another win. It started off well for the Caimans with a 26-24 first set victory, but they couldn't maintain. Perhaps it was a little fatigue but they dropped the second set 25-19 but recovered for the third and took the Vikings to a 29-27 third set loss. Unfortunately the Caimans would fall to the Vikings in four sets, but fought valiantly. Marie McKenzie was all over the place with 20 digs 7 kills and 3 blocks. Sidasia Johnson had a monster game with 17 kills, 19 digs, 3 blocks, and an ace. With Johanna Palma adding 19 digs an ace and 3 kills, the Caimans could be back on track with those kind of contributions.

 The Caimans will be back in action Thursday, October 15th at 7 PM in the Swamp, be sure to be there as we honor our Sophomore athletes in a Men's Soccer and Women's Volleyball mashup.
