The Caimans then went on a 3-0 run that ended with a kill by Martinez giving Hostos a 19-16 lead. The Caimans took over the set at this point and went on to win.

The third set started as a struggle for the Caimans as the Bronx started off with the lead. The two traded points keeping the score close until it was 11-11. Then the Caimans took over the match taking 10 of the next 12 points bringing the score to 21-13.
