Hostos Women's Volleyball started their first of two final home games on Saturday and made it count as they earned their first win of the season against the Globe Institute of Technology Knights in a 3-0 (29-27 , 25-15 , 25-16) shutout. 

Coach Ray Acevedo noted, "They played well and really wanted to win this game."

Although the Lady Caimans did not qualify for the CUNY Athletics Conference playoffs, they will return all but two starters and look to add more players for next season. Head Coach Tracey Igwe plans to continue her vigorous strength and conditioning regiment in the offseason and prepare the Lady Caimans for what's to come in the 2012 season.


Fun Fact: A year and a day ago, the Caimans blanked the Knights, 3-0, in similar fashion.
