Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Bronx, N.Y. - The Caiman women's basketball team faced off against a pair of Region XV opponents this week taking on the Suffolk Community College Sharks on the road and then hosting Queensborough Community College at The Swamp. 

Against Suffolk the Caimans would be tested throughout the game with the Sharks always staying within 10 points of the #9 nationally ranked Caimans. Suffolk would have a late charge mid fourth quarter to make it a two point game even having a shot at the buzzer to tie or win the game but Hostos was abe to hold on for the victory by a final score of 52-50. 

Leading the way against Suffolk for the Caimans was sophomore forward Aiyana Hicks posting a double-double notching 18 points while pulling down 12 rebounds. Front court mate Lanasia Drain also posted a double-double for the Caimans with a 15 point and 18 rebound performance. At the point Dimon Walker would add 12 points and five assists for the Caimans. 

Hostos would then close out the week by hosting CUNYAC rival Queensborough Community College on Saturday in The Swamp. The Caimans would lead in this game from start to finish placing three players in double figure scoring with all three posting double-doubles. The Caimans would close out the game on top taking home the win by a final score of 77-36. 

Leading the way against the Tigers was sophomore forward Aiyana Hicks who posted 31 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore forward Lanasia Drain also notched another double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Also having a big night for the Caimans was point guard Dimon Walker who also had a double-double with 15 points and 13 assists. 

With the two wins the Caimans are now 13-4 overall and ranked #9 in the most recent NJCAA National Poll. 

Next up for the Caimans is a home game against Uconn-Avery Point on Tuesday, January 31 at 6pm at The Swamp.
