Box Score Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The caimans men's basketball team took to the road on Tuesday night to face off against the Falcons of Dutchess Community College in a key Region XV battle. This would be a game of runs as both teams made multiple runs throughout the game leading to multiple lead changes. But in the second half the Caimans would gain control leading them to a 75-72 victory. With the win the Caimans are now 12-10 overall.
Leading the way for the Caimans was freshman guard Marquis Paulin who registered a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists. Also posting a double-double for the Caimans was freshman guard
TeAmo Ebron who netted 15 points and 10 rebounds while adding four assists. Recording the third double-double for the Caimans was freshman forward
David Honore who scored 12 points and hauled down 10 rebounds. Off the bench having a big game for Hostos was freshman guard Evan Douglas-Vasquez who went a perfect 4 of 4 from the floor including two three pointers to net 10 points to go along with seven rebounds.
As a team the Caimans shot 55.6% from the floor while dishing out 20 assists and hauling down 10 offensive rebounds.
Next up for the Caimans is a CUNYAC match-up with BMCC in downtown Manhattan at 8pm on February 7.
