Hostos Community College Caimans defeated Suffolk Community College 72-19 to earn second road win of the season on Saturday, November 13th.
The Women's Basketball team had three Caimans finishing with a double-double.
Chyna Bryant finished with an impressive 13 points and 19 rebounds. Ifoema Ezike had 11 points and 10 rebounds. While
Kendra Sanchez chipped in the last doubl-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Additng to the Caimans success was
Fatoumata Diaby who was one-point shy of a double-double with 9 points and 11 rebounds.
Vanecia Brown added 11 points.
The Lady Caimans defense posed a significant problem for the Sharks who did not have a player reach double figures. The sharks were held to just 16% shooting from the field and were out-rebounded by 26. For the Sharks, Elizabeth Shelton led all scorers with 5 points. Mia Khan and Sofia Stampfli's both added 4 points apiece.
The Caimans move to an overall record of 2-0 and return to action on Tuesday, November 14th at 6pm where they travel to Dutchess Community College for a Region XV contest.
