Bronx, N.Y. - The Hostos Men's Basketball team traveled to Rockland Community College on Saturday for a non-conference game against the Hawks. The low scoring defensive battle was eventually won by the Caimans with the low scoring final score of 53-48. With the victory Hostos is now 17-9 and is sitting in third place in the Regional standings at 11-4.
Leading the way for the Caimans was freshman guard
Onias Outlaw who posted a team high of 19 points while hauling down nine rebounds. Coming off the bench to anchor the paint for the Caimans was sophomore forward
Sidi Toure who corralled 11 rebounds while rejecting three Hawks shots. Also contributing to the Caimans win was freshman forward
Ashaunte Manuel who grabbed eight rebounds while adding five points.
