Box Score Bronx, N.Y. - The Caimans men's basketball team hosted the Dutchess Community College Falcons for their first home stand of the season in a Region XV contest. The Caimans came out on fire to start the game going on a 14-5 run capitalized by two huge dunks by Caiman guard Justice Carrington. But the Falcons would hold tough and respond with a run of their own to go into halftime with the lead 39-35. The second half was a tough battle between both teams as Hostos would cut the lead to one multiple times but Dutchess would hold firm and held on for the 86-83 win. With the loss the Caimans are now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in Region XV action.

Leading the way for the Caimans was sophomore guard Marquis Paulin who paced the Caimans with 13 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists. Freshman guard Justice Carrington added 11 points and seven rebounds and Moussa Camara netted 10 points and on 3 of 4 shooting from the floor. In the paint freshman forward David Honore notched 11 points and sophomore forward Tionne Palmer had 10 points on perfect 5 of 5 shooting from the floor while hauling down six rebounds.

As a team the Caimans shot 45.1% from the floor and 32.1% from deep while hauling down 11 offensive rebounds.

Next up for the Caimans is a home match up against Suffolk Community College on Thursday, November 17 at 8pm in The Swamp.
