Valhalla, N.Y. - The Women's Basketball teamed captured their second win of the season defeating Westchester Community College 82-41 on day two of the Johnny Jones Memorial Classic. The Caimans had six players in double figure scoring and outscored the Vikings in the paint 42 to 16 while also forcing 44 turnovers. With the win the #8 Caimans improve to 2-0 on the season.
Leading the way for the Caimans was sophomore guard
Shania Lewis posting a game high 17 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Sophomore forward
Myandra Dusquesnay also had a big night with a 13 point and 11 rebound performance. Freshman forward
Aiyana Hicks added 15 points and 6 rebounds and front court mate freshman
Savannah Williams was one rebound shy of her second double double of the tournament with 12 points and 9 rebounds while also adding a team high 6 assists. Also contributing for the Caimans were freshman guard
Starr Garcia with 14 points and sophomore guard
Daniela Gomez Salazar who added 11 points off the bench.
The Caimans are back in action next Tuesday (Nov. 16) on the road at 6pm against Region XV opponent Monroe College - Bronx.
