As a native New Yorker, Erica has been around athletics since a young age. Erica started her education and basketball career at Fulton Montgomery Community college where she won a Conference Championship and her team made it all the way to the Region 3 Championship game. Erica continued her academic and basketball journey to SUNY Old Westbury.
During her time at Old Westbury, she assisted the Assistant Athletic Director. She gained valuable experience in all areas of an athletic department such as game day events, media promotions as well as organizing and advocating for women's sports. Erica also assisted as an intern in the sports information department helping to curate the athletic websites and the promotion of all student-athletes.Â
Eventually, Erica graduated SUNY Old Westbury ('17) with a Bachelor's in Media communication and later graduated with a Master's in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire ('21) with a certification in Athletic Administration.
Recently, Erica has worked as a liaison for team registrations, responsible for maintaining and developing sponsorship's with the Knicks and Nike for the West 4th brand. Additionally, she had the opportunity to work as a Sport Event Manager. This included travel to various professional arenas for the NHL, NFL and NBA such as US Bank Arena in Minnesota, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana or the Barclays Center here in Brooklyn.Â
Erica is excited to use her background and knowledge of athletics to enhance the aquatic offerings at Hostos Community College as well as play an integral part of the Athletic Department.
