New York, N.Y. - On Sunday October 16 Hostos Caiman Student Athletes from the Women's Volleyball, Women's Basketball and the Men's Basketball team participated in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Central Park. Second year Head Women's Basketball Head Coach
Dwight Shaw Stated "We love coming to this event every year, it is so important for our student athletes to give back and do community service." Coach Shaw continued, "Cancer has touched so many peoples lives so it was important to come out here and help raise money and dedicate our time for such an important event."

Marquis Paulin spoke about the event, "Coach Poole and Coach Shaw and the entire coaching staff are always talking about giving back to our community and helping those who are in need." Paulin continued, "It is a great time to be out here with my teammates and fellow student athletes on such a beautiful day to support a great cause."

Savannah Williams stated "We have such a close knit family in athletics, our coaches are always talking about athletes supporting athletes and being here for each other so it is really cool to be here with my teammates and to support a special cause, breast cancer is such a bad disease and I am happy so many people are out here to help bring it to an end."
